In 1815, Edmond Dantes, first mate of the merchant vessel Pharaon, accepts a parcel from the dying Captain Leclerc intended for the exiled emperor Napoleon on Elba. Upon delivering it, Napoleon gives him a letter, setting off a chain of betrayal and revenge.
