Akihiko returns from Germany to his rural hometown, Tamama Onsen Village, only to find the once-bustling hot spring resort nearly deserted. Shocked by the decay, his father—the mayor—drops a bombshell: Akihiko must transform into a traditional, benevolent fox spirit to revive the community.
