In construction, "renovation" means major overhauls like changing a home's floor plan. When the all-male, family-run Marufuku Construction hires small plum, a woman from a big firm, she's paired with the gentle, woman-shy eldest son Gennosuke. Together, they tackle tricky client demands—like a husband wanting to turn a tatami room into an open LDK while his wife refuses, or couples clashing over unbreakable walls and gardens they won't tear down.
