Toshihiko Tanaka and his friends Kenji and Kazuhiro enroll at Kakegawa High School specifically to play soccer alongside their hero, the legendary Yoshiharu Kubo. Though Kenji and Kazuhiro initially hesitate to return to the pitch, Toshi's determination eventually persuades them to join the team.
